Today it's wheels again (and so on).
I built the front wheel for Nomu Lab Wheel #1.
Evolitè hub 20H with CX-RAY Sapim spokes built radial.
The aero-butted section of the CX-RAY is
nominally listed as 2.3mm width and 0.9mm thickness,
but you can clearly tell there's variation between individual spokes just by feeling them.
I can't really discern the width differences, but when it comes to thickness,
there are definitely some that feel thin and others that feel thick.
Until now, unless there was a defect (which I'll write about another time), I haven't really made any distinction,
but this time around I had some thoughts on the matter and deliberately paid attention to the alignment.
It probably won't make any visible difference in how the wheel performs,
and I haven't been able to detect any numerical difference either—it's really just a minor thing—
but it feels right to me this way.
