but it seems the necessary conditions change when dealing with larger machines and such.

↑By the way, this is a rolling flat die attached to the spoke cutter I use.
It still seems usable, but I replaced it quite a while ago.
The early model (the one in the photo) has partial honing,
while the current model has full honing across the entire surface.
