A customer brought in a Shamal Ultra front wheel for me to work on.
The replacement rim we ordered is in the back.

I think it got caught in the gaps of a grating,
but there's a big gouge on the rim sidewall.
Since the rim itself isn't bent, I'd normally consider repair in a case like this, but



Both sides are pretty much scraped up everywhere,
so we decided to go with a rim replacement.

The tire also has gouged sections,
so it's best not to use it anymore.

Got it built.
Tasks like sticker application on the rim and using a magnet to guide the nipples
actually take more time than the wheel building itself,
before it even goes on the truing stand.
