Nomu Lab Wheel

Rebuilt the rear wheel with ZTR Alpha 340 rim onto のむラボ Wheel No. 5

A customer left me a rear wheel built with a ZTR Alpha 340 rim.

It's one I built myself back then.

The ALPHA 340 logo on the rim is small, so it's an early production model. When I measured it after disassembling, it weighed 361g.
After the later production models completely took over, they specifically sought out this early version,
but back then I said "this rim cracks, so I wouldn't recommend it" and
gently refused to build it.
From experience, I've found that tensioning to spec is less likely to cause cracks at the rim eyelets than under-tensioning out of caution,
so I built this one on the tighter side, but

It didn't work out.
By the way, the front wheel has already been rebuilt from the Alpha 340 rim to an XR 200 rim.

Since the spoke length looked like it would work as-is
with a のむラボ Wheel No. 5 (custom hub), I did a rim transplant.

It built up fine.
