Today I did a complete disassembly and reassembly of a Campagnolo previous-generation Ergopowerレバー.

According to the customer, before bringing it to our shop, he'd been turned down by about three other shops and told that Campagnolo Japan would handle it and to expect a long wait time.
Unlike Shimano's sealed units, this isn't a black box—it should be possible to take it apart and repair it.
If shops won't touch it, then they shouldn't take it in the first place, if you ask me!
Postscript: Wow, this is getting heated (deadpan). I know that writing things like this might come back to bite me someday, but still, I thought this was just too much...
First, the customer called us, but of course I couldn't say "I can fix it 100%, bring it in!" So I answered, "I'm not sure if I can fix it, but let me take a look and give it a try."
And apparently later I found out I was the only one who said "I'll give it a try..."
I don't know which shops were contacted before us, and honestly, I'm not interested either.
