Wheels again today (and so on).

I built the front wheel for Nomu Lab Wheel No. 5.

Evo Lite hub 20H, black Sapim CX-RAY spokes, radial lacing on the non-drive side.
I use a certain odd millimeter spoke length,
but the Sapim CX-RAY distributors only stock
even lengths in 2mm increments,
so I have to cut at least 1mm from the nearest available length.
The thing is, CX-RAY spokes tend to run short of their nominal length,
so when you try to cut 1mm, the blade sometimes skids or cuts maybe 1mm,
which is pretty hit-or-miss. At minimum, the 20 CX-RAY spokes I cut myself
definitely have less variation in length than
20 off-the-shelf CX-RAY spokes.
Anyway, the distributor's black CX-RAY stock has run out across the board,
and the nearest length I need, plus 2mm more, and another 2mm more—all sold out.
Going 2mm higher than that exceeds what I can cut.
We have enough inventory at the shop to get by until the distributor's next restock.
I've learned my lesson from past painful experiences.
Today I also bought out the distributor's last 6 pieces of 286mm and last 64 pieces of 300mm,
but seriously, let's not take the distributor's goodwill for granted and buy in 20-piece units instead.
When I reduce the 300mm down to 60 pieces, 4 pieces are left over and that seems wasteful, so I took them all.

↑I'm cutting these from 4mm longer than the nearest length,
but it looks like I'd better not trim down the plain section any further by 2mm.
