Ksyrium ES

A customer brought in a Ksyrium ES wheelset for service.

The sprocket mounting marks on the freehub body splines are almost non-existent, and
while the braking surface isn't brand new, it's exceptionally clean.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but
the red anodized color shows absolutely no fading.
The Ksyrium ES is a limited edition model from 2006.
It's not like it's never been used, but
even though it was mounted on a frameset and exposed only to fluorescent lights (not sunlight),
you'd expect some fading by now. Instead, it's been stored away in a wheelset bag.
There's not even any dust on it.
It's extremely rare to find one in this condition today.

During inspection, both front and rear wheels had slight centering issues.

By the way, these wheels came in as a wheelset alone, but
I asked, "Didn't it have a Michelin tire with a yellow sidewall on it?"
and the customer confirmed it had a Pro3 Race yellow tire on it.
The reason I guessed correctly is, as I've written before,

tire rubber stubbornly adheres around the valve hole almost exclusively on Michelin tires.
