On days when I can't make my own bento box, I usually buy one from a bento shop.
There are a lot of street vendors in this area who set up parasols and sell homemade bentos to salarymen,
and the place I often buy from sells rice + side dish + instant miso soup for 400 yen.

The other day, the side dish options were kung pao chicken, Western-style tiered bento, or pork shabu-shabu, so
I chose the kung pao chicken bento.
But the vendor lady said to me, "The pork shabu-shabu is right at its expiration date,
so if you'd like, how about it?"
I politely declined once, but she pushed again saying "It's free~"
so I gratefully accepted what you see above.
So much.
Thank you for the meal. I ate the complimentary pork shabu-shabu first,
and saved the kung pao chicken to eat much later.

Today it's sautéed bell peppers with salt and pepper and a rolled omelet.
This is more than enough.
