Wheels again today (and so on).
A customer brought in a Token Resolute C45 front wheel for repair.
The rim got bent from buckling while it was hot from brake heat.
The bead hook is deformed—hard to see in the photo, but
the lower bead hook is bulging out instead of staying straight.
We're reusing just the hub and rebuilding the wheel with a Nomu Lab Wheel #7 rim.
Complete wheels with C45 rims come with lots of spec variations—
sometimes straight-gauge spokes, sometimes bent-head spokes,
aero spokes, or round spokes. The original was
bent-head, round-butted spokes.
Since the rim height is different, we can't reuse the old spokes anyway.
But honestly, even if the length worked out, I wouldn't reuse them.
