We've received bulk stock of the L05A, the successor model to the L03A finned brake pads (resin) for road components.
There are 25 pairs per box.
The tax-included list price for 25 pairs is ¥37,642,
so the unit price per pair comes to ¥1,505.
For comparison, the packaged version in a box costs ¥2,114 per pair.
Just like we're already doing with the R55C4 brake shoes,
we'll be selling these individually packaged here at the shop.
Naturally, we'll use the per-unit price based on the bulk set,
and we won't hide the fact that they're bulk goods
or sell them at inflated prices like ¥3,800 or ¥3,700
(→see here).
Since I wanted to package them so the resin parts don't touch each other
and without putting tension on the spring,
I stacked them in the configuration shown in the image above.
And decided to bag them up in this configuration.

Shimano has been pushing to eliminate vinyl packaging lately,
so parts come in paper bags, but you can't see what's inside,
and (I won't comment on the environmental impact from burning it)
it still ends up being a fair amount of garbage pretty quick.
Before doing stuff like this, why don't they get their stock price back to the 30,000 yen range.
I stepped away for a moment while writing price tags, and then
mysterious writing had been added.
It's not quite the shock of waking up to find a horse's head at my bedside,
but it seems I'll have to set this to some kind of crowd-pleasing panda price.
This is absolutely not my decision.

When I picked up, a clearly altered voice
specified a price for this item.
"Set it to ××××yen."
"Um, but that would make it almost the same price as
the non-finned resin pad package version we have here (image above)..."
"Just do it. And the price I just told you is of course tax-included."
