Another day working on wheels (and so on).

I received the rear wheel of a Nomu Lab Wheel No. 5 from a customer.


One spoke is broken.
What looks like rust in the lower image is just
the orange color from the digital camera body reflecting in the shot.
Since the anti-freewheel side uses CX-RAY spokes with soldered joints,
it wouldn't be impossible to desolder and replace just one spoke,
but I'll replace the pair of two spokes that make up the final crossing pattern together.
Separately from that, there was good reason to replace the rim as well,
so I decided to swap that out too while I was at it.
It wasn't the customer's request—it was my judgment—
but I did get their permission for this decision.

No particular reason, but I took some shots anyway.


Got it built up.

I'll solder the joints on the replacement spokes later.
