Nabeyatsuji Pass connects Osaka and Wakayama, but
on the Osaka side of the route, there's a
"push-button box that appears to get relatively larger
the closer you get to the utility poles it's mounted on"
This phenomenon has no known cause, making it truly bizarre.

So first, let's look at the push-button signal that is "not" bizarre.
There's a yellow push-button box on the utility pole,
but instead of using the camera's zoom function,
I'm going to gradually approach and take photos.

The point I want you to notice is that
the width of the white and blue plate above the box and the width of the yellow box
remain roughly the same throughout.

This is the push-button box where the bizarre phenomenon occurs.
It was around 6 AM, and while there wasn't zero traffic,
since this road doesn't lead to the bypass,
the only ones likely to pass through would be locals,
but I photographed with sufficient caution.
In the end, during filming, no cars
crossed through the road in the image.

It's a thicker utility pole than the one at the beginning,
and clearly the diameter is larger than the button box width.
The width of the upper plate and box is roughly the same
as before.
From here, as I gradually approach...

This happens.
In the last image, it's getting cut off at the edges,
but compared to the width of the upper plate,
the box is clearly much larger,
and visually it's become about the same size as the utility pole diameter.
The reason this bizarre phenomenon occurs is unknown.

↑Looking at the images before approaching once more, it's like this

↑By the way, when you look at each box
from the side, it looks like this
