It Wasn't the 200 Standard

Regarding the bottom adapter for the SRAM Quarq crank arm base (→here),

Since there's something called a "200 standard" for bottom adapters,
I thought that might be what it was,
so I went ahead and investigated.
The answer's in the title,
but please don't worry about it.

When I overlay the most common standard bottom adapter,
while the hole centers are slightly offset,

RIMG9895amxx15x.jpg
the bottom adapter is designed for M4 bolts,
the Quarq base has M3 holes,
and since the tapered section provides the contact pressure,
I've previously written that it can be secured at a level with no problems in use.

The "200 standard" specification
is apparently about the distance between holes being different.

So compared to the universal adapter,
the 200 standard is the one on the right in the image above,
and since it's narrower, it seems absolutely impossible to make it work.

Oh horse bbbb argh argh argh argh

My attempt this time ended in vain,
but if some of you out there think

"Oh, so there's a 200 standard"
"It doesn't fit the Quarq base"
"Serves them right"

and can use it as a lesson, I'd be grateful.
