Another wheel day today (and so on).

A customer brought in a rear wheel built with either a Kinrin XR300 rim or
a Tni (Tanni) AL300 rim.
It wasn't built in our shop,
so it's not Nomu Lab Wheel #1, but the rim is the same type.
They wanted it rebuilt.

Evolight hub, 24H, all CX-RAY, 4-cross Italian lacing.
The drive side is tensioned even tighter than I usually tension.
I was planning to do a semi-competition 46-cross lacing,
but I judged that the CX-RAY on the non-drive side
would work fine even staying as 4-cross
as long as I laced it properly,
so I decided to change just the drive-side spokes to competition spokes
and reuse the CX-RAY on the non-drive side with lacing.

I'm reusing the non-drive side spokes as-is,
but I didn't like that the nipples were Sapim 14mm aluminum,
so I'm changing them to DT 12mm aluminum.
That meant I had to completely disassemble the wheel.

The rim had a dent from lateral buckling.
I think the original request was to rebuild the wheel because it was loose,
but the customer must have noticed this dent,
so maybe they also asked for a rim replacement when they dropped it off.
Either way, I can't straighten it out,
(though I do try with very minor damage occasionally)
so I'm replacing the rim too.

↑These are both non-drive side,
meaning the spokes I'm reusing,
and their length reaches just about the nipple slot.
They're not too short,
and when I change from 14mm to 12mm nipples,
the spoke threads won't be exposed at the end of building the wheel either.

Built it up.
