A storm of notifications comes pouring in.

I keep a
"Ferragamo card case that's been vacuum-sealed
(vacuum Ferragamo)"
in my shop desk drawer,
and the other day my iPhone happened to be
in contact with it for several hours,
and about 70 notifications had accumulated
saying an NFC tag was detected.
When I tapped on the notification section,
it directed me to the Ferragamo website.
After looking into it, I found that
leather goods like wallets, business card holders, and bags
from brands like Bulgari, Gucci, and Prada
have NFC (near-field communication) tags embedded in them,
and when you bring your smartphone close,
it directs you to the manufacturer's website
where you can see a notice confirming
that this is an authentic product.
After investigating further, I discovered the annoying thing that
on Android you can turn off NFC tag notifications
in the settings,
but on iOS there's currently no way to turn it off.
