A customer brought in the front wheel of a Zonda with a C15 rim for repair.

One spoke was broken.

The customer said it suddenly snapped with a loud crack while riding,
and the spoke is bent.

When they brought it in,
there was a nipple attached to the end of the spoke,
so I was shocked thinking they'd punched right through the rim hole.
But it turned out the customer had retrieved the nipple
that fell inside the rim
and just stuck it on the end of the spoke.

All fixed.
We happened to have spare spokes
in stock at the shop.

↑The spoke we replaced

The spoke had broken right at the start of the threaded section.
