DT's 2.0 aluminum nipples in silver are arriving!
About 76 boxes showed up.
I ordered 100 boxes, but it turned out the distributor only had 76 boxes in stock.
Even with 7,600 pieces, if we use 44 per wheel set front and rear,
that's only 172 wheel sets we can build, so it's not crazy overstock or anything.
In reality, we can't use them perfectly with zero waste,
and since sometimes we use 64 nipples per set with 32-hole rims front and rear,
the actual number will be a bit less.
Because the quantity was so large,
the distributor called to confirm whether this was a legit order or a mistake.
What scares me is that if I accidentally order, say, 5 boxes of spokes
but mess up and it shows 55 boxes instead, they might just ship it thinking
"oh yeah, that shop probably orders that much."
