Another wheel day (details to follow).
Got a front wheel from a customer to work on.
The rim is a Mavic CXP22, but paired with a FELT-branded hub, so
this appears to be a wheel that comes stock on entry to mid-level complete bikes.
This time the customer wanted to swap out the hub for an Evolite hub.
FELT brand it may be, but the hub itself is a budget model from Joytech.
Joytech is one of the pioneers of Taiwanese bicycle parts manufacturers,
a true OG in the industry.
Novatech, actually, is Joytech's premium brand line.
The CXP22 is listed in the catalog as having eyelets, but
custom variants do exist for OEM makers that come without eyelets.
All built up.
Before and after the rebuild, both have black spokes and red nipples,
but I went with all new parts. The spokes are DT Comps.
I built it up in outpoke radial lacing.
While I was at it, I cleaned up the brake zone on the rim too.
