About that post from the other day that got a lot of applause.

Though honestly it wasn't really an article, just an announcement.
For some reason, it got a clap almost immediately after I posted it.
Puzzled, I wrote "Why would this get applause when there's no actual content?"
and it suddenly jumped to about 8 claps.
I really wanted to stop the applause. Then I remembered this story.
There was a Sato-chan (a bright orange elephant mascot for Sato Pharmaceutical) that sat in front of some pharmacy,
and every night drunk people would kick it over, leaving it lying on the ground by morning.
So the pharmacy owner decided to put a big bandage on Sato-chan
and wrapped gauze around its nose and arms,
and apparently looking at such a pitiful, beat-up Sato-chan, people felt too guilty
to keep up the violence—it stopped completely.
Appeal to their conscience, right? Alright, let's go with that.

Why's it catching fire?!
Now when I look, there are 54 claps on it!
Man, the internet really is scary.
