The other day I was working on a PowerTap (which I didn't write about) that a customer brought in for wheel truing, and

I forgot to return the quick release that I had removed for the work.
I sincerely apologize. I was too distracted by the customer's Rolex Daytona they were wearing.

Joking aside, though this is no laughing matter,
when doing service work I sometimes forget to return small parts like valve caps and quick releases that I've temporarily removed,
or spoke magnets that came off during wheel rebuilds.

I've made this mistake a few times before,
and I'm writing this here as a reminder to myself to be even more careful going forward.
