Another day working on wheels (and so on).

A customer brought in the rear wheel from their Nomulab Wheel No. 4 (Nomulab is a custom wheel manufacturer).
They said it suddenly developed runout while riding.

I looked for slightly bent spokes. Found them on the non-freewheel side at the final crossing—two spokes there—
so I replaced those spokes. But when I did a rough truing job,
I found a spot with seriously bad runout that wasn't directly beneath that spoke crossing.

The culprit wasn't bent spokes but rim deformation from buckling.
The customer said, "Ah, that must have been it," recalling a specific incident.
Since the rim needed replacing,
we ended up rebuilding it with Nomulab Wheel No. 2 components.

It's built.

Only the hub was reused—an Evorite Hub 24H,
built in half-competition four-cross lacing with spoke nipple connections.
