A customer brought in the front wheel from a Hyperon (vintage Japanese bicycle) for repair.

They're requesting a repair for a broken spoke.

This is an original first-generation Hyperon with a clean rim—no cluttered graphics all over it.

It didn't actually break at the butted section—
the customer cut it here to keep the spoke from moving around.

The actual break is at the end face of the nipple,

and since broken spoke material is jammed inside, the nipple needs replacement too.

↑This cap was

missing from one side, so

I replaced it.
