Rebuilt the rear wheel on the 303

Another wheel day (and so on).

A customer brought in a 303 with a Shimano rear hub that couldn't be upgraded to 11-speed.
They wanted me to rebuild it with a standard hand-built hub and convert it to 11-speed.

This time it's 24H instead of 20H.
Since I can do a 4-cross lacing pattern, it's easy to achieve a "tighter than before rebuild" condition.

↑While disassembling, I notice the threadlocker hardened in the spoke pocket areas—
it's pretty much pointless.

After that initial crack sound, the nipples spin smooth and easy.
If there's no history of truing after the initial build, I wonder if it actually works as a loosening preventative...?
Or maybe it serves to prevent sand from getting packed in.

Built it up.

Wheel Matters Leaf Hub 24H, black half-Campagnolo 4-cross lacing with crossed sections. The customer wanted black spokes if possible, so I went with black spokes.
