Racing Zero Carbon and Zonda

A customer dropped off their Racing Zero Carbon (Campagnolo wheel) for service.


It's only done about 50km, so practically brand new.
I barely touched the front wheel.
Just gave one nipple the lightest turn.
The rear had a slight center offset, but that disappeared when I cleaned up the minor lateral wobble.
Work time was minimal.



Next up is the Zonda (Campagnolo wheel).
Same customer, so I'll cover both in one post.
This one has about 10,000km on it, but
the rear wheel only had a slight center offset—
nothing particularly bad for that mileage.
I didn't touch the hub bearings,
but I did refresh the grease around the freewheel ratchet mechanism.
I checked the pawl springs too, and since they weren't bent, I didn't replace them.
