A customer brought in a Ксилиум SL for service.

I'm handling both front and rear wheels, but I forgot to photograph the rear wheel as a whole.

The front wheel had quite a bit of center offset,

which I corrected. The runout was minor.
The rear wheel's temporary center was spot-on, and there was one spot with noticeable lateral runout.
After fixing that, the center was still spot-on,
so the phase I observed at the temporary center must not have been directly under the lateral runout.

The tape on the rim seam was shrinking and peeling away, probably from brake heat.

I peeled it back. Or rather, it was already mostly peeled.
This wheel appears to have been running Michelin tires with red sidewalls at some point in the past.

I degreased and cleaned it,

and applied plastic tape instead.
Since it's thinner than vinyl tape and more heat-resistant (both the tape itself and the adhesive),
it shouldn't peel away easily.
