Another day of wheels (and so on).

A customer left me a wheel built with an Ambrosio Nemesis rim.
I asked where it was built, but the shop sticker
that was on the rim had already been peeled off, so

they won't be getting any credit.

All Champion spokes (No. 15), lacing pattern 66 Italian lacing.
The non-freewheel side being loose isn't because of equal-diameter equal-spoke-count lacing—
it's just that the freewheel side is also loose.
The spokes on the non-freewheel side appear to have been leftovers,
and the thread engagement was abnormally shallow compared to the freewheel side.
This shop apparently didn't have a spoke cutter (past tense),
and only used Sapim CX-RAY spokes in 2mm incremental even lengths,
so they sometimes built wheels with absolutely crazy spoke lengths (past tense).

The Nemesis rim has already found its next purpose,
but what was really needed was the 7900 hub being used on it.
We're building a small-wheel with an ALEXRIMS Race 30.
※Not a mistranslation (→here)

Hub relocation in progress...

Normally there's absolutely no need to go through this intermediate state (just to be clear).

Done building.

32H, all Champion spokes (No. 15), 46 Italian lacing, no cross-lacing.
Before and after the rebuild it's plain spokes (and they get shorter),
so if I carefully disassembled the wheel
I could potentially reuse the spokes,
but I went ahead and got fresh ones instead.
