A customer brought in a Vision Team 24 Limited wheelset for me to work on.
I have a rule about keeping manufacturer names in post titles only for lesser-known wheels, and I think this one qualifies.
It's a limited edition 24mm deep-section rim version from Vision, FSA's time-trial parts brand,
from their "Team" wheelset series.
Vision has three series: "Metron," "Trimax," and "Team."
The Team 30 and 35 models are both budget aluminum clincher rims.
This Team 24 Limited appears to be built with a Trimax 24 carbon tubular rim
paired with Team-grade hubs,
which I suppose is what makes it "limited."
"Metron" — probably has nothing to do with that thing where you sit across a low table having a discussion and then open a sliding door to find a spaceship.
Three spokes on the non-freewheel side had a string tied around them,
and they were bent from lateral impact.
Once I released the tension, it looked like this.
Fixed.
They were 14-gauge plain spokes, so I replaced them with black Sapim Leaders.
The spokes are thick because they use butted spokes with 2:1 lacing on the rear.
I inspected the front wheel too, but those have straight-gauge spokes.
