Rear wheel: Leaf hub 24H black semi-comp 46-spoked lacing with cross-lacing.
A customer who came from Tokyo—the owner of Nomu Lab Wheel No. 1 (and who builds wheels himself)—watched the entire process of me building the rear wheel. If it had been an aluminum rim wheel, I could have shown something a bit more interesting.
Though I deliberately didn't go that route.

Wanting the tires as light as possible,
I chose and mounted TUFO's "Elite Jet under 160 grams."
There are lighter tires out there,
but when you factor in avoiding the risk of losing a race to a puncture while still getting a reasonably light tire, I think this is the sweet spot.

Considering the tire pattern logically, the label should be reversed (left label), so that's how I've mounted them.

Specified pressure is 10–15 bar.
There's a theory that Americans are obsessed with psi because of a triskaidekaphobic concern about not wanting to inflate to an unlucky 13 bar,
(citation needed) (according to whom?)
but that's just something I'm making up on my own.
psi is pounds-force per square inch—the p stands for pounds—which is imperial measurement, so that's the actual reason.
