I Stocked the VP-1 Patch Kit

I've stocked Park Tool's VP-1 emergency patch kit.

The old VP-1 used to have white around the Park Tool logo,
but the contents are the same.

It's a patch kit that requires rubber cement and includes 2 small round patches, 2 medium round patches,
2 square patches, sandpaper, and a tube of rubber cement.
The reason I went out of my way to stock this is
the pricing is weird.

The VP-1 has a list price of ¥450 (before tax), but

What I stocked this time wasn't the type where each box comes in blister packaging,
but rather the box set version.
This has a list price of ¥8,360 (before tax), but it comes with 36 boxes, so

the per-box list price works out to ¥232 (before tax).
If I sell the box set at "list price" using the single unit list price,
I'd be selling at list price while giving a 48% discount.
Actually, I'm pushing it a bit harder than that! (→customer-drawing gimmick)

The nice thing about this is
that wholesalers probably don't have the box kit VP-1 in stock,
and it takes about 2 months to import from the manufacturer
(we waited that long too).
I don't think many competitors read this blog, but
the fact that it's hard for others to follow suit is what I like about it. Heh heh.
