A customer dropped off a Reynolds Attack tubeless rear wheel with us.

Apparently a nearby shop refused to do centering work on it.
When I asked separately whether they'd do shoe contact adjustment, they said yes,
so I figured it was the usual issue—the anti-freeside radial lacing being loose,
causing left shoe contact and all that business—
but it turned out to be something different.

↑The rim itself is abnormally off to the anti-freeside.
This shouldn't happen on stock Reynolds wheels,
so I asked if there was definitely a history of truing work, and sure enough—
one spoke had gotten so loose the nipple was rattling around
(this actually happens fairly often with Reynolds),
so a nearby shop did the retightening and truing work.
With the rim this far off, yeah, no wonder there's left shoe contact.
In other words, this whole thing is a case of someone doing fake truing work
that only chased lateral runout,
which shifted the wheel center while claiming they couldn't fix
the center they themselves threw off—
it's absolutely ridiculous. This guy clearly can't build a wheel.
And to top it off, they didn't even finish the lateral truing properly.

Got it sorted. Took way more work than it should have.
I don't know who this person is, but most of my time has gone into carefully undoing
the mess that idiot created.
