In my earlier article about half-threaded valve stems,
I wrote, "If we hit 300 applause, I'll do a 700C tube festival at ¥300 including tax,"
and I also wrote that I'd only accept applause from people
who had actually used half-threaded tubes before.
As a result, we've exceeded 460 applause at this point,
but I suspect the vast majority of these are from liars who just want to buy cheap tubes.
Of course, among those who applauded,
there are probably some who have actually used half-threaded tubes,
and I've also received a few useful comments based on real experience.
A promise is a promise, so I've decided to go ahead with the ¥300 tube festival.

↑This is the actual tube.
It's supposedly open-priced with no list price,
but on a certain AMAZ○N, it's listed at ¥907,
and they're selling it for ¥900 with 1% off.
The manufacturer is from a well-known brand that everyone knows,
but I can't disclose the packaging for political reasons.
They're sold at retail as proper boxed items, not as bulk.
The nominal size is 700×18–26C, and being usable for both 23C and 25C
is convenient for us sellers too.
This manufacturer's tubes in the same size also come with
48mm and 60mm valves, but
these don't have removable valve cores.
As for 48mm and 60mm, Panaracer's R'–AIR has exactly the same size lineup,
and R'–AIR is also the type of tube with a non-removable valve core.
With a 60mm valve, you can barely fit air into the old Cosmic Carbon rim,
and with Bora at the same nominal 50mm depth it's just barely OK,
and I just verified with the actual product that the Speed 55C won't work.
So this time, as a third specification,
I've sourced tubes with
"removable valve cores and 40mm length".
I can't go into more detail here,
so please search "客寄的大熊猫" (Attention-Grabbing Giant Panda) for more information.
