Back to wheels again today (and so on...).
Built a front wheel using an AL22W rim (with brake zone).
Evolite hub 20H with CX-RAY outpoke radial lacing
and green aluminum nipples.
Though they're green aluminum nipples, two of them got rejected.
In the image above, the left one is standard, and the two on the right are the rejects.
The first one was rejected because the color is too dark.
It's hard to tell in the photo, but
the actual color difference is much more pronounced (it almost looks black).
With red or blue nipples, I sometimes get entire boxes of 100 that are darker than other lots,
but since only this one out of 200 from two boxes is extremely dark, I rejected it.
The nipple on the far right looks normal at first glance, but
one side has a color defect.
Interestingly, nipples with color defects seem to have an unusually high number of green ones, though I'm not sure why.
