The bottom bracket cups on the square taper shaft were seized up pretty bad.
Apparently the shop down the street couldn't loosen them either,
but I managed to get both sides free in about 3 minutes of work.
At 1,000 yen in labor, that's roughly 20,000 yen per hour.
The photos above are already after I loosened them — I've got them to where you can remove them by hand now.
Yeah! To all you shops that couldn't get them off — take that! (just messing with you)
