I received Nomu Lab Wheel No. 5 from a customer.

Starting with the rear wheel.
Both front and rear wheels hit a pothole while riding, and the rims were damaged.

The rim sidewall is deformed at the valve hole position, but

from the outer edge it looks fine.
Even if the bead hook weren't deformed,
just the rim sidewall deformation alone would be reason enough to replace it, but

at a different point, the bead hook is dented and mangled, so
it definitely needs to be replaced.

Moving the rim over...
I've written about this before, but
there are some shops out there claiming
"you can't true a wheel that's laced,"
which is nonsense. I can even transfer a rim like this.
Almost everyone who says this has never actually laced a wheel before,
and many of those people can't even true properly.
Or maybe they're just intimidated because it's a Nomu Lab wheel.
This wheel was definitely built by me
(there's an unwritten warranty on repair labor),
but even if it weren't, I could still repair it.

Built it up.

Next, the front wheel.

↑The obvious bead hook deformation is only here, but
when you spin the wheel, it jumps noticeably and you can feel
the rim deformation.
