Stock was running low, so
I decided to restock it.
The part number is Y6009858O.
But the OT-SP41 50m spool comes in a "no-box" option.
So when you buy the outer cable wound on a spool,
it's not just in a bag—
↑Like this—it comes wound on the same
cardboard reel as what's inside the boxed version.
The part number has the last O changed to A: Y6009858A.
Since it comes on a reel, if you have a dedicated box
you just pop it in—in other words, you swap just the contents.
The product itself is completely identical, but
the boxed Y6009858O has a pre-tax list price of ¥11,129,
while the no-box Y6009858A has a pre-tax list price of ¥6,527,
a difference of ¥4,602—
so that box in the opening image costs ¥4,602!
There might be fellow professionals out there
who restock with the boxed version every time,
so I'm writing this while restocking.
By the way, the no-box option only comes in black.
