Today's concert was
about 50 minutes long,
whereas opera-format performances
usually run a bit over 2 hours.
The first half had pieces around 16 and 19 minutes,
then a 25-minute intermission,
followed by a 50-minute opera-format piece,
so it wrapped up around 5 PM.
I thought, "They could've started this at 7 PM!"
but there was a boys and girls chorus
lined up on the risers in the back,
so it probably couldn't be done in the evening
due to regulations around minors' working and scheduled hours.

Anyway, that's fine, but

there's a separate concert from the regular series
featuring Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, "Pathétique,"
and I ended up buying a ticket.
So I'll be taking June 15th (Saturday) off as well.
Beethoven's "Eroica" and Tchaikovsky's "Pathétique,"
plus Shostakovich's "Revolution" are irresistible,
so please forgive me.

Separately, the next regular concert is March 8th (Friday).
Sometimes there are gaps of about 2 months,
but lately the schedule has been packed
with January 31st, February 17th, and March 8th coming up close together.
