A customer brought in the front wheel of a Roval CLX64 Disc for repair.

They couldn't quite make a right turn
and rubbed the left side spokes, rim, and tire against the curb,
damaging the spokes, so they wanted them replaced.
I told them to go to a Specialized dealer
but they wanted us to fix it here, so we did.
Well, there are shops out there—like the now-defunct Specialized Kishiwada store—
that put up a Specialized Store sign but can't even do
proper Roval repairs (→here).
So it's definitely true that just because a shop sells Roval
doesn't mean they can service Roval bikes "properly."

There were scuff marks on the side of the spoke,

and scuff marks on the rim sidewall in line with it.
The tire wasn't punctured,
but it had a sidewall cut, which has already been replaced.

It's fixed.

↑Relationship between the scuff mark position on the rim

↑The replaced spoke

The damage area shows almost purely lateral deformation
(no front-to-back deformation),
so if we didn't mind the scuff, we could potentially
bend it back and keep using it,
but there's a small chip on the side of the spoke right at the scuff location,
so replacement is essential.
Regardless of whether it could be reused,
we replaced it per the customer's request due to the scuff marks.
