Chris King Releases External-Lock Disc Rotor Lockring

Regarding the center-lock interface on the Chris King R45D rear hub,

You have to remove the split cone from the hub axle,
remove the cone locknut,
then secure the disc rotor with an external-lock lockring,
and finally reinstall the cone locknut and split cone—
a somewhat tedious procedure, as I mentioned the other day.
Well, Chris King has now announced they'll be releasing
an external-lock lockring
(the front hub can use a standard internal-lock ring normally,
and partial hub disassembly isn't necessary).

This blog's policy is to avoid self-shot images when possible,
but since this is a new product that hasn't arrived at distributors yet,
I can't photograph the actual item.

The lockring with white "KING" lettering
has a suggested retail price of ¥5,280 including tax,
while the two-tone black lockring with matte punch (a pinkish shade)
or gold lettering in the center
is priced at ¥6,930 including tax.
I guess the price is justified because they match the anodize color of the hub.
