With a Stans Grail CB7 rim


I built up a disc brake front wheel.


Unmarked straight-pull spoke hub, 28H
Semi-CX sprint, forced 3-cross lacing on both sides
Rainbow (VAS) pattern nipples.

When I calculated the spoke length,
the result was so counterintuitive that I wondered why.
Turns out I'd been calculating it for 2-cross lacing instead.
