The wheel I built previously used
DT's turquoise-colored
aluminum nipples, but

semi-finished products from the manufacturing process
got mixed in, so I rejected them.



↑When you compare them, it looks like this
Naturally, the turquoise color and other
anodizing is applied after
the nipple is machined to shape—
they machine the nipple to final form first,
then apply the anodizing process.
But this one went to the next step
while still unfinished, so
this is what happened.
