PRC1100 DICUT Mon Châssis Wheel Repair

A customer brought in the front wheel
from a DT Mon Châssis for repair.

Not because of any particularly
distinctive spoke arrangement,
but rather—

RIMG1716amx17.jpg
the spokes got bent in an accident.
Someone's foot caught the front wheel.
If it had been the rider's own foot, I'd probably write it differently,
but the way it's phrased, it was someone else's foot
that collided with the wheel, not the rider's.

Naturally, the customer wants it repaired.

I wrote about this same model before,
another customer's Mon Châssis (→here)

Got it fixed.
The spokes with blue tape are
the replacement spokes,
and the ones with white tape are
the spokes I temporarily removed to measure the length.

↑Looking at the wheel from the left side,
I replaced 4 spokes on the left and 1 on the right.
The four on the left weren't consecutive—
spokes 1, 2, 3 and then skipping one, the 5th spoke was bent,
while the 4th spoke, which had no damage whatsoever,
is like a miraculous survivor from a disaster.

The customer came from quite a distance away,
and said they never expected
it to be fixed right there on the spot.

If I held onto every wheel like this one,
the shop would end up completely overflowing with wheels.
Not that it isn't already packed with them as it is.
