I'm sure many of you already know this, but
that guy called Shige-jii who wrote a copycat article of mine has had it deleted.
There wasn't even an apology or anything,
but it's clear that someone who ages so shamefully
lacks even the most basic human judgment
so I don't really care anymore.
Of course, deleting the article amounts to admitting the plagiarism.
It was already at a level where there's no way to talk your way out of it anyway.
Since he pathetically deleted and ran, I was thinking of dropping my report to Ameba Blog's management
since I didn't want to make a big deal out of it.
I'll explain why that's past tense shortly.
About the report or claim—they won't accept it unless you're the copyright holder.
In this case that's me, but to prove the claimant is the rights holder,
I need to affix my personal seal to documents and submit them via registered mail
along with a seal certificate issued within the last 30 days.
This is incredibly tedious. Cost aside, the paperwork is the real pain.
I received various comments about this.
Customers who actually came to the shop gave me various advice too.
Among them was the opinion that "a guy like that will mistake this for being okay and do the same thing again,"
so I reconsidered—giving up and doing nothing on my end
didn't seem right.
And separately, I received a comment about a criminal record.
It was pointed out that an article from a blogger called Cameleon-te (→here)
was also completely plagiarized.
The plagiarized article is (→here)
It'll probably be deleted anyway, so check it out if you want!
As you can see, the images are completely copied and the argument in the text is identical.
Does this guy lack the ability to think for himself at all?
More than that, the stupidity of not deleting this one too when he deleted my article is unbelievable.
It's so malicious that I've decided to file a claim with Ameba Blog's management.
It'll be in the form of a deletion request for an already-deleted article,
but I think it's important to have a clear record that I reported it.
I'm aware that the word choice in this article has many unsightly points,
but I'm still exercising restraint. Please forgive me.
Addendum: I emailed Cameleon-te today.
"I've placed a link to your blog in an article on mine.
If you have any concerns about it,
I'll delete it immediately, so please let me know if you do."
I received a reply consenting to the link.
Sorry for the retroactive permission, and thank you.
Since only the rights holder can file a claim, I can only act on my own cases,
but it looks like Cameleon-te will be taking reporting action too.
And on top of that (is there more?),
I received comments linking to the plagiarized article (→here) and the plagiarism (→here).
The original author whose work was plagiarized has already been informed via comments.
Addendum: I was told the first part came from (→here). More crimes keep surfacing.
On every article there are probably people commenting without knowing the content was plagiarized,
and that's disrespectful to them too.
Among the commenters,
when someone asked "Isn't this a repost from NomuLab? Are you okay with that?"
someone replied "Just ignore comments like this~"
(the article's gone now so I can't see it, but I bet many people saw it)
This old guy doesn't even reprimand him—he's going along with it.
It's no wonder they huddle together as his entourage when they have the same low literacy, both online and as humans. Ugh, it's disgusting.
Addendum: What's particularly malicious is that he clearly writes that he did other people's work himself.
He almost certainly didn't assemble the C35, didn't overhaul the Shamal, and didn't build the ZTR rims.
What's fun about writing such lies?
People commenting "That's amazing~" on his blog should probably reconsider your distance from this guy going forward (laughs).
Actually there are more instances of image theft,
but I'm done pasting links here.
There's no end to it, and it's beyond the scope of what I can report.
To those who left comments: sorry.
