I checked the Sapim homepage and found a new model called
"Super Spokes" (スーパースポークス).
They're boasting that it's the lightest spoke ever made.
(probably meaning in human history, not just Sapim history)
The size is amazingly 1.8-1.4-1.8mm!
That 1.4 in the middle is seriously extreme.
According to Sapim's catalog specs (which I've verified are pretty accurate),
260mm, 64 pieces comes to 231g total,
but when I apply my spoke specific gravity formula to this,
a 2.0mm plain spoke equivalent gives me
54.0% — an absolutely insane number.
Sapim CX-RAY is 65%,
DT Revolution's 1.8-1.5-1.8mm is around 61%.
Even the lightest spokes I know of are at 59%,
so this is just unbelievable.

A 54% specific gravity means that if you averaged out the butted sections
to a plain spoke, the cross-sectional area would also be around 54%.
If a 54% spoke were plain, it would work out to
1.47mm outside diameter.
Which means most of this 1.8-1.4-1.8mm spoke, except for the thread and head,
is basically 1.4mm.
I haven't heard any reports of these arriving in Japan yet, but man... I'm really curious.
