Bora One Service

A customer brought in a Bora One (high-end wheel set) for service.

The front wheel didn't have enough runout that I would normally remove the tire for,
but unfortunately it did, so I removed the tire temporarily.
The centering was spot-on, and I suspect the runout
developed from riding rather than being original.
I remounted the same tire.

For the rear wheel, since the customer also wanted a tire replacement, I removed it before checking runout.
Both images are post-service, but the front wheel has the old label
and the rear wheel has the new label for that reason.
The rear wheel's centering was slightly off,
but more importantly the spoke tension was slack, so I retensioned it.
Usually I frame spoke work as
"not an aggressive modification but simply restoring it to factory spec,"
but this time, while the pre-retensioning slack was definite,
I tensioned it a bit more aggressively after the work.

Being an early Bora One model, it uses ball bearings rather than USB,
and apparently it's had hub maintenance at another shop,
finishing up with zero play, no grinding, and smooth rolling.
I felt touching it further would do more harm than good,
so I didn't do anything at all to the hub bearings or bearing races.
