A customer brought in a ROVAL Rapide 40 CLX for me to work on.


I've seen a disc brake hub before, and the Rapide 40 CL and rim look very similar to it (→here).
I have no idea if they're the same thing.
There was almost no centering deviation and only minor runout,
but fair warning — the thin double-butted spokes
make the nipples quite hard to turn.

↑The hub is DT, and the bearings appear to be in partnership with CeramicSpeed.
This is the rear hub, and I really like the pretty pronounced high-low flange design.
