I repaired the seat tube under the stem

The drill whines!
Well, saying that would be a lie, but given the nature of the work, I'll put it in this category anyway.

The customer rode in on a bike with
an integrated stem carbon handlebar,
and the feel when tightening the screw that fixes the meter bracket
on the back of the stem was clearly off.

↑The rivet nut was coming loose.
I was thinking I'd drill right through it, but first...

I checked whether there was a hollow space toward the fork tube.
Since it's blocked, if the drilled rivet nut fragments
fall inside the stem, retrieval becomes a hassle.

So I tried to pull it out first,

and it came right out.
Or rather, it wasn't holding at all.

↑The area around the hole looks like it has a notched ledge,
but that's just cured instant adhesive,
so

when I applied a knife to it, it came right off.

I re-set the rivet nut.
I also installed the bracket, and now the screw tightens properly with good feel.
