Repaired the brake outer cable stop on a Tarmac SL3 using blind rivets

The drill is whining!

I received a frame from a customer—some kind of SL (Short Life) model or something.
Apparently the brake outer cable stop on the rear of the top tube came loose.

It looks like it was stuck together with some kind of soft adhesive,
but it's wobbly like a loose baby tooth.

Someone wrapped a cable tie tightly around it to help stabilize it,
leaving marks in the frame's paint.

Honestly, it would've been easier to fix before all those extra measures were applied...

The outer cable stop itself is
suffering from rust progressing under the paint—whether from galvanic corrosion with the rivet material or from sweat damage.
I'd like to replace it with a universal part if I can find one that fits,
but I don't have one on hand, so this time I'll reuse the existing one.

When I manipulated the outer cable stop a bit, it just popped right off.

There's soft adhesive residue left on the frame side, so

I scraped it off.

I roughed up the contact surface with the outer cable stop using sandpaper
a bit more than shown in the image.

↑I drilled out the original rivet to remove it.

I secured the outer cable stop with a blind rivet.
I'm using adhesive in addition to the rivet.
