Sometimes I announce we're closed for "unavoidable circumstances," but
that's actually to attend classical concerts.
There are 10 regular concerts a year,
but when they fall on Wednesday, the shop is already closed,
so I only announce "unavoidable circumstances" closures for other days of the week.
Last Tuesday I went to the Ninth Symphony, which was a special performance outside the regular series.
The Osaka Symphony Orchestra holds regular concerts,
but in January and February they're on Wednesdays, so there won't be any special closures then.
Our shop is also a corporate member of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra.
Apparently, for a self-run business of this size, being a corporate member is almost unique to us.
