I rebuilt the rear wheel on the Attack

Today it's wheels again (and so on).

A customer brought in a Reynolds Attack rear wheel for me to work on.
The nipples had loosened and lost tension,
and in some spots the spokes had gotten so loose they were rattling around.
This is a symptom you occasionally see with Reynolds pre-built wheels,
but it doesn't always happen.
However, once a wheel starts doing this, just tightening the loose nipples won't fix it—
other nipples will just come loose again.

But that's not all—they're completely loose and there's also lateral wobble.

The proper fix for this is to completely disassemble, degrease and clean,
apply threadlock to the spoke threads, and rebuild it.
But if you're going that far anyway, swapping out the hub and spokes to rebuild it better
doesn't really take any more work.
So we decided to go ahead with the rebuild at the customer's request.

This was the customer's suggestion, not my recommendation,
but if I'd suggested it, the result would've been basically the same. Heheheh.

On a separate note, today a customer who brought in a ZIPP 404 for inspection and
tire mounting with rim cement mentioned that
they'd had their Reynolds Assault rear wheel rebuilt at our shop the same way
in the past, and
they said the handling improved dramatically. Heheheh.
