Racing Zero Carbon

A customer dropped off a Racing Zero Carbon (high-end carbon wheelset) with me.

The front wheel was dead center with virtually no runout,
but the rear wheel had something extremely unusual—the rim was pulling toward the non-freewheel side.
And not just a tiny bit either; it was way off.
On top of that, the spoke tension was loose, so I shifted the rim back toward the freewheel side first,
then re-tensioned the non-freewheel side spokes to get it centered.
There wasn't a single nipple that didn't need tightening.
I got it properly sorted in the end and told the customer,
but this is a one-in-a-hundred kind of lemon—seriously defective stuff.
I actually asked about its history because I wondered if some incompetent shop had done a half-ass inspection job,
but apparently it came straight from an overseas online shop and has only about 1,500 km on it.
So yeah, you do get wheels like this sometimes.
